Animal Bridge
A mountain lion, P-22, caught between LA freeways in Griffith Park, became a collared folk-hero. However, he eventually was struck by a car and injured causing him to take down lesser prey like chihuahuas, for which he was pulled from the park. His life, and the travails of many other animals in the region inspired the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing, a structure that gives passage to animals over 10 lanes of US Highway 101.
